Double Play by Kelley Armstrong
Genre: Thriller/Novella
Life is good for lodge owner and sometime hitwoman Nadia Stafford — a couple of dogs, a job she takes satisfaction in and the man she loves at her side as they literally build a home together. It’s as close to normal as a pair of contract killers can get.
Jack knows that sometimes being very, very good at what you do can be very, very bad — for those around him. He’s gone to great lengths to keep his past from catching up with Nadia. He also knows it’s only a matter of time …
Jack is halfway around the world when the trap is triggered. They’re coming for Nadia. And he has no way to warn her. Ooh this sounds good. A hitperson couple certainly sounds interesting and I like a good thriller. Plus Nadia sounds badass. 🙂

Yes! I love this series. I hope you decide to give the first book a shot. I don’t think I’d start with this novella though since it’s set after the series has ended.

I have been wanting to read this thriller of KA’s. I’m interested to see how her writing in this genre differs from her PNR/UF. Hope you enjoy.

I hope you like KA’s thriller books! I was surprised at how much I enjoyed them, since it’s a little outside of my usual genres.

I grabbed Double Play too. I love Jack and Nadia. I don’t know when I will get around to reading it. I have a bunch of books to read for Rabid Reads and this one doesn’t really fit there, since we only review PNR, UF, Fantasy and Sci-Fi for the most part.

I do too! I was so excited to see this pop-up. I thought she was done writing in this series so I’m excited to see that we may be getting some novellas now and then set featuring Nadia.

Good! I’m glad that you enjoyed this one. It’s still sitting on my kindle. I need to get around to reading a couple of ARCs before I read this one.
