I wasn’t really feeling this week’s Top 10 Tuesday topic, which is literary characters you’d name a pet after. So, I’m going rogue this week. Awesome topic! I love Creature from the Black Lagoon- such a classic! And Lake Placid crack me up- is that the one where whats her name (drawing a blank) is caught FEEDING the thing? I busted out laughing the first time I watched that. And Tremors ha ha.
I’ve always liked Gremlins too- the music and the atmosphere and everything. The bar scene cracks me up!

Yup! Lake Placid is the one where Bette White is feeding the croc. 😛 I’m glad to see that you like some of the campier flicks like that too. It’s been quite a while since I watched Gremlins all the way through (I always watch bits of it when I catch it on TV). I might need to sit down and watch the whole thing around Christmas this year. 😛

I think Gremlins is awesome at Christmastime, the movie just has that feel with the Christmas lights all over. The bar scene, the movie and the blender scene in the kitchen- where the mom takes it to the Gremlins- love the whole thing! And yeah Bette White, that’s who it was- awesome. I may go find that scene on Youtube now!

A winner – I’ve seen all of these films and they’re all great for different reasons. Tremors – is just one of those films that I can put on when I’m not really even concentrating!

Yes! Tremors is an excellent one to play in the background while you’re doing other things.

I agree! I love Lake Placid. It’s been a couple years since I watched Tremors too. It’s a summer movie for me, so I might need to break it out next year to watch.
