Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews
The object of this meme is to share the books you’ve borrowed or bought throughout the week.

I Kill Giants by Joe Kelly
Genre: Graphic Novel

I read the first issue of this one a little while ago and decided to splurge and get the complete collection when I was at the comic book store.

Back Cover Description: Barbara Thorson, a girl battling monsters both real and imagined, kicks butt, takes names, and faces her greatest fear in this bittersweet, coming-of-age story called “Best Indy Book of 2008″ by IGN.”

Chew, vol 4: Flambe by John Layman
Genre: Comic

Back Cover Description: These are strange times for Tony Chu, the cibopathic federal agent with the ability to get psychic impressions from the things he eats. Strange writing in extraterrestrial script has appeared in the skies of Planet Earth – and stayed there! People don’t know if the end days are upon them or not, but they don”t seem terribly concerned about the laws of the FDA, and what was once the most powerful law enforcement agency is rapidly descending into irrelevancy. So where does that leave the FDA best agent, Tony Chu?

    • I really enjoyed the first issue of I Kill Giants. I’m hoping the rest of the series holds up. And I agree! I love getting the collections because its more satisfying to me to read the whole thing in one sitting.
