Sunday Post: May 29

sunday post

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, post recaps and share what’s up ahead.

Week in Review

It’s finally really nice outside, which is excellent since we’re going into June. It’s great to not have to wear a jacket when going outside.

Currently Reading

I didn’t get much reading in this week. What I did end up reading was some short ebooks instead of the handful of ARC’s I need to get through. I’m hoping to finish My Best Friend’s Exorcism soon. Herzog is probably going to be on my “currently reading” list for quite a while. I’m taking forever to work my way through that one.

Video of the Week

I run a group that meets once a month to play board games. The Table Top series has been great for finding new games to introduce to the group. The next one I’m planning to grab is Tokaido.

  1. I didn’t do a ton of reading either, I finished the book I needed to for my review and then kinda stopped. lol. Maybe this week I’ll read more… 🙂

Fun video! I had never heard of Tabletop but I love trying new games- I’m way out of the loop on new board games! I used to go to GenCon every year but missed the last few- hoping to make it back this year. I always find new games there too.

    • lol I have that happen quite often as well.

I was thinking about going to GenCon this year, but I think I’m going to skip it and go next year instead.

I love trying new games too. I found so many to add to my list watching that show.

  2. Hurray for having some nice weather! It’s getting pretty hot here already, so I’m kind of dreading the summer… I didn’t get much reading done this week either. :/ I’ve only watched one episode of Tabletop when I was learning to play Elder Sign, but I really enjoyed it! Have a great week 😀

  3. That’s so cool that you run a board game group! Last semester I actually took a course on analog games and information transfer in libraries…who knew that grad school could actually be a good time? Haha. I definitely want to play more board games in the future!

  4. Yes, I love Tabletop! I find it so helpful to actually see games being played when deciding whether or not to buy one, sometimes the descriptions don’t give you a real feeling for what the game mechanics are like. Especially important with some of those really expensive games….!!!
