Waiting on Wednesday: Crooked Kingdom

Waiting on Wednesday

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine. It’s an opportunity to spotlight upcoming releases I’m eagerly anticipating.

Crooked Kingdom
Author: Leigh Bardugo
Release Date: September 27, 2016
Genre: Fantasy
Series: Six of Crows #2

Kaz Brekker and his crew have just pulled off a heist so daring even they didn’t think they’d survive. But instead of divvying up a fat reward, they’re right back to fighting for their lives. Double-crossed and left crippled by the kidnapping of a valuable team member, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz’s cunning and test the team’s fragile loyalties. A war will be waged on the city’s dark and twisting streets―a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of magic in the Grisha world.

    • I hope you love Six of Crows when you get around to reading it, Tammy! I really loved it. It ends on a slight cliff-hanger, so if I were you I’d wait to read it until closer to Crooked Kingdom’s release date.

  1. I have yet to read anything by Leigh Bardugo but I’m hoping to fix that ASAP. Looking forward to starting this series. Thanks for sharing 🙂

  2. I’m definitely looking forward to this one. I loved the first and it was a great starting point for me with this author (I missed reading her other series and this way I don’t have to catch up.)

  3. I’m picking up this one. The first book was really interesting and I’m curious to see what will happen to the characters. I hope that after they rescue the wraith, Kaz can open up to her!

    • I’m pretty behind on YA fantasy series as well! I’ve still only read Cinder in the Lunar Chronicles series. 😛

This series, however, I have plans to read the minute the next book comes out. I hope you like Six of Crows when you get around to reading it.
