Upcoming Blog Posts
With Christmas being this week, I’m going light on the posts. Most of what will be published is going to be for the Top Ten of 2015 event hosted by Fiktshun. However, I’m opting out of Monday’s theme since Top Ten Tuesday covered my best books read in 2015 list, already.
- Monday: No Post – Break
- Tuesday: Best Book Covers of 2015
- Wednesday: Best (still undecided) of 2015
- Thursday: Best Book Boyfriends of 2015
- Friday: Top 10 Books I’m looking forward to in 2016 and a Film Friday post
- Saturday: Stacking the Shelves (tentative)
Around the Web this Week
- The “Star Trek Beyond” trailer dropped this week and the internet (or at least the corners I visit) lost its mind. (Link goes to YouTube)
- And poor Simon Pegg. The short clip of him talking about being a little disappointed with the trailer and requesting that Star Trek fans essentially “hang in there”, has been all over the place. The wince at the end makes my heart squeeze in sympathy. (via A.V. Club)
- Character posters for the new “Ghostbusters” film came out and I rather love them. (via Vulture)
- The AV Club posted an interesting article about how “Buffy the Vampire Slayer stalked its claim to a twist on a Christmas classic“.
- I really love the first 3 seasons of Buffy (the remaining seasons are a little hit or miss for me) and this is a rather interesting look at the episode “Amends” from season 2.
- “The Force Awakens” cast singing “Star Wars” music acappella (via The Mary Sue)
- A fun bit of fluff.
- DRYVRS “Just Me in the House By Myself”, featuring Macaulay Culkin (Link goes to YouTube)
- This was the most wonderfully dark thing I’ve seen all week. Since I talked about “Home Alone” a little while ago, I feel the need to share this with you all.
I haven’t watched the Star Trek trailer. I probably won’t. Ok, maybe closer to release. I waited a long time to watch the Star Wars trailer. To be honest, I’m a bit indifferent to trailers. They seem to be hit or miss. The only ones I enjoy are at the theater right before a main movie.
Thanks for the Buffy link. I only watched Buffy this year and I’m now a fan. 🙂

I’m a dork and really love movie trailers. I just watched a bunch of YouTube from a best of list. 😛
One of my favorite things about going to see a movie in the theater is watching the trailers.
I love Buffy! I’m glad to hear that you recently discovered it. It was such a wonderful show.

It’s a good week to go light on posting, with the holidays. Hope you have a merry Christmas!
I’m not sure what I think about that trailer, I didn’t see the last movie but heard lukewarm things. I like the idea in prinicple of them trying to break some new ground- I guess we’ll see.

Thanks, Greg! You have a Merry Christmas as well!
I haven’t seen the last movie either, mostly because I didn’t feel like watching an adaptation of The Wrath of Kahn. I might watch it eventually, but the thought of it just makes me tired.

Oooo, the wince on Simon Pegg… Hey, at least he gets to be in both the biggest SciFi franchises ever!!! I love Simon, even in Mission Impossible 🙂
I still have to do my best of posts – am I lazy or what?!?!?! See ya next week!!

I love Pegg as well. He’s so expressive and usually just a lot of fun to watch. I haven’t watched any of the Mission Impossible movies though. I have a deep aversion to Tom Cruise. I might have to get over that and watch them though.
LOL You’re not lazy at all. I’ve only done the one “Best of” post and that was just because it had been the top ten tuesday theme of the week. Otherwise I would still be procrastinating on mine as well.

Thanks, Jeann! It’s a disappointment, but I’m keeping the faith that it still may be good.

The top ten posts for the end of the year is such a great idea! I wish I had heard of it earlier! Now, I don’ t think I’ll have time to prepare any posts 🙂
Have a wonderful holiday!

Awww, that was the boat I was in with this event last year. So this year I’ve been keeping an eye out for it on a couple of the hosts’ blogs. I hope you’re able to participate in it next year!
Happy Holidays to you as well!
