I’m a bit of a series addict. I have the tendency to start but never finish or keep-up with them. To give you a clue of how bad I am with it…I have yet to pick-up the last Harry Potter book, despite having read all of the others. So one of my goals for 2015 is to play catch-up with a few of the series I read. Below is a list of some of the main ones I’m going to try finishing this year and a few new series that I’m planning to start…because I have a problem.
Series to Catch-up with or Finish Reading
Melissa Meyer’s Lunar Chronicles (Young Adult)
I’m already off to a good start with this as I just finished Cinder yesterday. I can’t wait to see where Meyer goes with these steam-punk/sci-fi/fairytale retellings. I only hope that every book doesn’t end on a cliff-hanger.
Mercedes Lackey’s 500 Kingdoms Series (Fantasy)
Another fairy tale retelling series that I need to get caught-up with. I haven’t actually read a book in this series since 2006, but it’s one that I keep meaning to return to.
Meljean Brook’s Guardian series (Paranormal Romance)
I’m awful about reading books in order. In 2014, I actually read the final book in this angel vs. demons series. Now I need to go back and read the two that I skipped over. I also plan to do a re-read Demon Moon for one of my 2015 challenges.
Kelley Armstrong’s Women of the Otherworld series (Urban Fantasy)
Another instance where I finished the last book in the series, but still have an earlier book I need to go back and read. I adore this urban fantasy series, so it’s no hardship for me to pick-up Frostbitten at some point this year. I also have plans to do a re-read of Paige’s and Jamie’s books for my re-read category in the 105 in 2015 challenge.
Kristen Callihan’s Darkest London series (Paranormal Romance)
I really love this steampunk-ish paranormal series. I’m only two books behind on the series and I’m hoping to catch-up before the next book (Soulbound) is released at the end of February.
C.L. Wilson’s Tairen Soul series (Fantasy/Romance)
An epic romance series that sprawls across 5 novels. I had read up to book 3 a few years ago, but publishing delays with the final book caused me to forget some plot points in the series. I need to restart at the beginning or find a detailed summary of the first three books before I can finish this one.
Series I Plan to Start
Stephanie Perkins’ Anna and the French Kiss Series (Young Adult)

A series that I’m giving a shot based purely on the fact that so many people adore it. I wasn’t steered wrong with the Lunar Chronicles so I’m hoping this one will also live up to the hype.
Kelley Armstrong’s Cainsville series (Urban Fantasy)
“Kelley Armstrong begins her new series with Omens, featuring a compelling new heroine thrust into a decades-old murder case and the dark mysteries surrounding her strange new home.”
Armstrong could write a book all about crackers and I would read it.
Rachel Bach’s Paradox series (Sci-Fi)
“Devi Morris isn’t your average mercenary. She has plans. Big ones. And a ton of ambition. It’s a combination that’s going to get her killed one day – but not just yet.”
I usually prefer to watch sci-fi rather than read it. However, I’ve heard a lot of good buzz about this trilogy.
A. G. Howard’s Splintered series (Young Adult)

I love Alice in Wonderland retellings so I’m all for giving this series a shot.
Sarah J Maas’ Throne of Glass series (Young Adult)
“After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin.”
This series has been generating a lot of hype. It sounds a little like a cross between the Hunger Games and Marie V. Snyder’s Study series based on the backcover description of book 1.
Kelly Sue Deconnick’s Pretty Deadly series (Comic)
“Death’s daughter rides the wind on a horse made of smoke and her face bears the skull marks of her father. Her tale of retribution is as beautifully lush as it is unflinchingly savage.”
Love Deconnick’s stuff, so I’m looking forward to starting this one.
Book Minx 
I love Splintered, Throne of Glass and The Lunar Chronicles but that comic series sounds really, really cool!!!!!!! Good luck with all of your series! I’m the same way, always forgetting to read the next even if I loved it haha.

I’ve been meaning to get caught up on the Darkest London series for a long time. I’ve only read the first two. Meljean Brook’s Guardian series is another series I want to read. Her Iron Seas series is awesome! The Cainsville series is good but a little slow moving in some parts.

I love all of Meljean Brook’s stuff. Her Iron Seas is a favorite of mine. I think I’m mostly caught-up with it. I just need to go back and read Heart of Steel. I thought the first book in her guardian series was a little hard to get into. Demon Moon is what hooked me on the books for that series.
Glad to know that the Cainsville series is good! I’ll have to pick it up when I’m in the mood for a slower paced read. 🙂

I still need to read The Kraken King other than that I’m caught up on the series. Demon Angel is hard to get into. I’m about a third of the way through it, but it’s not a book I’m racing to get through. I’m one of those people that has to read a series in order, so I will finish this one before moving onto the others.
